The 4th of July is approaching fast and we’d like to update you on what’s happening at next week’s OpenX Seminar in Cologne. There’s been a lot of interest and we’re really happy we have had lots of submissions on what you want to hear about.
The session will start with an introduction on OpenX, a tour of the new stable version of the OpenX ad server (currently in beta) and our roadmap. In the afternoon we’re going to go into details based on the topics proposed by participants including scalability and performance. We’ll finish up with a Q&A session with a panel of experts.
If you’re coming you’ll get to meet Simon Bailey, our Senior Product Manager, who will talk you through 2.6 demo, roadmap and plugins. Simon has a comprehensive knowledge of OpenX and future product developments.
Heiko Weber and Tobias Schwarz, active community members and OpenX consultants, will be joining us on stage to discuss scalability and performance. You may know Heiko and Tobias from our German forum and from their work as OpenX consultants.

Sorry to cancel so soon before the event, but we won’t be able to make it… I had to cancel the whole trip to cologne for urgent reasons at home…

OpenX Seminar July 4, 2008 (trip report)…
On July 4, 2008, I had the pleasure of attending the second ever OpenX seminar, held in Cologne, Germany. About 50 publishers (representing a wide variety of large and small sites) from Germany showed up, and 3 OpenX users from eBuddy in The Netherland…
