Yes, quite useful. Also - a tool I use a lot is integrated with the popular webdeveloper toolbar for Firefox.

You can click the ‘Resize’ button to resize your browser to popular sizes, like 1024×768, etc. Very useful if you work in a high resolution environment and you forget about what other people might be seeing.
(the webdev toolbar has been adapted to other browsers, so just search around if you don’t use firefox)
