Met with Jennifer Langdon and some of the team this morning in London. Very impressed by their enthusiasm and strategic direction. Whilst their office was only over the road, the fact that a call was made to a specific engineer to pop over to talk in more detail about one of my questions was and example of how this company will go places.

WIth an aggressive enhancement road map to include features such as integration with 3rd party segementation services like Revenue Science, I'll definately be considering switching from DFP to OpenAds. Clearly convincing the ad sales houses and agencies that they're significant player and increasing name recognition is another challenge.

Thanks again.

I've got prior commitments (taxi service for my mother) and won't be in London until 12, so I won't be able to get into town until 1pm. I wonder if its worth me still heading down ?

Hope the day goes well.

I went to go start a new meetup group on meetup.com, but I suddenly realized half-way through the registration process that it costs $12/mo, at least.

I was going to start an Open Source Advertising NY group so we could discuss various open source advertising platforms and such, including OpenAds.

Any suggestions for a place to start a meetup that's free? Thanks Oliver.

Hi Jonathan,

How about starting up a meetup group for New York... Meetup is NY based after all!

Here are some existing ones which sound interesting:
- New York Online Advertising and Marketing Group
- Advertising 2.0 (Web2NewYork)

If they don't sound right you could always start a new one. If you do then make sure to tell us... perhaps we can come along sometime.

cheers, Oliver
